The Hangover….2

June 14, 2009

If you haven’t seen The Hangover yet turn off your computer and go right now. In fact, you’re not allowed back to Thunder Treats if you haven’t seen it. With that being said, for those of you in Thunder Nation that enjoyed The Hangover as much as we did, you will be happy to know that Warner Bros. has green lit The Hangover 2. MTV Movie Blog tells us that all 4 of the Hangover pals will be back to ‘Let the Dogs out’ for the sequel. Warner Bros. started talks of a sequel before the original was even finished. MTV Movie Team talked with director Todd Phillips about it;

“We were thinking of sequel ideas when we were shooting, which sounds cocky, but we were doing it more because it was just fun to talk about ideas while hanging out on the set,” Phillips explained. “Two weeks ago I was saying, ‘let’s see how it works out.’ Now that the movie has really connected, it’s something we’re doing for sure.”

I imagine those of you reading this are thinking the same thing I am thinking. Wondering if Todd Phillips will be able to top the work of his latest creation. It is a very tall order but as the MTV Movie team found out, he doesn’t seem that worried and has a good game plan together;

Phillips said they could start shooting the sequel as soon as spring, 2010 and he also confirmed that all of the flick’s central characters will return. “I wouldn’t do it unless all four guys were back. I love ‘The Hangover’ so much and I think we could crush it with the sequel. I’ve never had more fun making a movie, ever. Not that ‘Old School’ wasn’t fun, but these guys were so hungry and ready to kick ass everyday. We just all gelled so well on this film.”

So there we have it. He knows when he wants to start it, he knows who he wants in it and it seems like they have an idea for a plot. Either way, if Zach Galifankis and Bradley Cooper are in it, I would say they have a solid chance to take #1 at the Box Office again. They got my $10 for sure.
